Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Senior Test Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Titchfield, Hampshire. This role involves supporting the design, development, and qualification of aircraft fuel and inerting system solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the requirements capture, design development, and implementation of test rigs, stands, and fixtures Manage test equipment requests, including scoping required work and resource needs Define test equipment design requirements from functional needs Complete test rig and test fixture design with a preference for knowledge of Creo (training available) Support the Engineering Services Manager in maintaining test facility regulatory compliance Coordinate and lead subcontracted test rig and fixture design, including factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and rig handover Prepare and review technical documentation such as engineering proposals, performance specifications, technical reports, and papers Project manage allocated design tasks, defining time and implementation plans Create and maintain working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams Work individually or as part of a team to deliver as per customer needs and expectations Demonstrate the core values and vision of our client Job Requirements: Apprenticeship in an Engineering Discipline or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject Experience in a relevant role Preferred knowledge of aircraft fuel system components Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including design of structural components and hydraulic/pneumatic systems Experience in writing technical reports and requirement specifications Experience in test rig and fixture design Understanding of test rig controls and instrumentation, with awareness of LabVIEW preferred Working understanding of ATEX regulations and associated equipment Knowledge of risk assessment and risk register documentation Strong skills in communication, responsibility, teamwork, problem solving, creativity, innovation, leadership, technical learning, and organisational planning Benefits: Competitive compensation and benefits package Challenging projects in a dynamic, collaborative team Opportunities for internal promotion Continuous learning and development opportunities through internal resources Commitment to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in aerospace technology Wellness programmes and tools to support employee health and safety 25 days annual leave entitlement bank holidays Pension contributions of up to 8% The successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR-controlled technology, goods, and information.
