We are looking for an experienced Shift Operations Manager to take specific managerial responsibility for a shift within our Corby Distribution Centre. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of stock through the supply chain, achieving performance targets, and maintaining a safe, efficient operation. You will work closely with the General Manager and provide support in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the DC.
* Support and provide cover for the General Manager when required.
* Manage productivity, costs, and KPIs in line with warehouse plans and budgets.
* Ensure compliance with all company legal standards relating to safety, hygiene, and the environment.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience in manufacturing, fashion/homewares, or multiple retail distribution environments – Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced supply chain setting, managing stock flow and ensuring operational efficiency.
* Proven experience managing a team or department of at least 30 people – Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and managing large teams, driving productivity while maintaining morale and engagement.
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – Experience using WMS to manage stock movement and maintain inventory accuracy, improving operational flow.
* Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint – Proficient in analysing data, creating reports, and delivering presentations to monitor and communicate performance metrics effectively.
* A solid track record of delivering on business projects – Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, meeting business objectives within deadlines and budgets.
* Customer-focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills – A strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels, ensuring a high standard of service for both internal and external stakeholders.
