Role: Radiology Department Assistant
Site: London, London Bridge Hospital
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 day working pattern between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 (pattern of early, middle and late shifts)
Contract Type: Permanent

We’re looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our team within the Generals Department at London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
As a Radiology Department Assistant you will have the opportunity to:
* Assist with patients and procedures, Chaperoning Ultrasound lists.
* Help maintain the smooth running of the department, assist sonographers, admin staff and doctors as required.
* Provide a reception/administrative service to support the department, ensuring quality services are provided to patients and Consultants.
* Deliver a customer focused high quality service to our patients and service users, striving for and maintaining the highest standards.
Job Responsibilities:
* Meet and greet all visitors to the Imaging department in a polite and courteous manner.
* Assist the Consultant Radiologists in the performance of their examinations. Being amenable at all times to a broad spectrum of requests.
* Register Patients using the Hospital Information system (Meditech).
* Schedule appointments using the Meditech scheduling system. Utilise and have an understanding of the PACS system.
* Participate in the General Administration of the department office, booking out reports, producing CDs etc.
* Perform HCA duties such as assisting with procedures in Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy or Nuclear Medicine.
* Assist with procedures in any of the Imaging room as considered appropriate by the Nursing Sister and documented in the role competencies.
What you’ll bring:
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
* Ability to be flexible with working patterns.
* Competent IT user.
* Hospital-based experience as a Healthcare Assistant/Radiology Assistant is essential.
* Radiology experience desirable.
* NVQ Level 3 desirable.
