The Finance MI & Reporting Lead role sits within the Firmwide Business Partnering team at the centre of Finance. The team directly supports firmwide stakeholders including the UK Finance Partner, Executive Board, Clients & Markets Executive, Regional Leaders and Leaders of Industries.
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Senior Manager to join our Central Firmwide Business Partnering team as the Finance MI & Reporting Lead. In this strategic role, you will be the primary specialist, collaborating with the Business Partnering team to provide focused reporting expertise that supports the firm’s financial strategy.
As the owner of their team’s Management Information and Reporting strategy, this role reports directly to the Finance Director, as well as acting as a direct link to the firm’s Planning & Reporting Centre of Excellence, which provides enhanced reporting expertise and solutions at a firmwide level. The individual will work closely with this team, and the other MI & Reporting Leads, to synergise and guide the firmwide approach to reporting. The individual in this role should be able to draw upon technical knowledge and commercial insights, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, to drive, influence and challenge the business to achieve short and long term financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Finance MI & Reporting team to deliver high -quality reporting, drive continuous improvement and foster excellent working relationships with stakeholders.
2. Work closely with the Planning & Reporting Centre of Excellence and other MI & Reporting Leads to discuss and implement improvements such as standardisation, automation, self-service uptake, consolidation, and best practices.
3. Collaborate with the Firmwide Finance Director to ensure the high-quality design and delivery of MI to UK leadership.
4. Lead the Finance AI agenda for Firmwide Business Partnering, focusing on machine learning and Gen AI. Drive the adoption of AI tools, working on PoCs through to implementation, refining decision-making processes, governance, and fostering innovation.
5. Work collaboratively with Firmwide Business Partners to ensure reporting remains relevant and insightful, aligning with the firm’s financial objectives.
6. Embed technology and automation to drive efficiency and consistency in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management information and reporting.
About You:
7. Technical Expertise : Experience with data presentation software/products including Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI.
8. Business Acumen : Commercially minded with the ability to develop a deep business understanding.
9. Data Principles : Understands and applies principles of data to reporting, such as quality, model, confidentiality, definition, and management.
10. Analytical Skills : Highly analytical individual with strong problem-solving skills and impeccable attention to detail.
11. Relationship Building : Proven record in building and developing trusted relationships at all levels.
12. Continuous Improvement : Proven track record of focused continuous improvement with a technology-enabled mindset.
13. Qualifications : Must possess a relevant finance qualification such as ACCA or CIMA or an international equivalent.
