Personal Tax Senior to join a successful small, based accountancy practice.
Location: Gloucestershire
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year

Our client is a Chartered Accountants practice providing a high-quality service to a varied portfolio of clients. The role will include managing and developing team members while reviewing their work. You will work with the director on a variety of planning projects and technical assignments and have the opportunity to get involved in business development and networking.
The role will enable you to take advantage of the hybrid working that is on offer. Whether working from the office or from home, we support our people to achieve the right balance of flexibility in line with delivering excellent client services.

Role Requirements
1. Previous personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential.
2. Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and guidance.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and a people-oriented approach.
4. Organized, confident, and diligent with a commitment to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hands-on preparation of tax returns including sole trader and rental accounts.
2. Preparation of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT declarations to HMRC.
3. Reviewing files of members of the team.
4. Commercial with the drive to contribute towards HTC’s continued growth.
5. Liaising with HMRC regarding personal tax matters.
6. Building strong relationships with a broad portfolio of clients and ensuring that we continue to offer a quality trusted advisor service.
7. Fulfill other duties as necessary to support the business objectives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
1. Qualified ATT/preferred; consideration for those qualified by experience.
2. Experience of working within a tax environment.
3. Strong technical knowledge.
4. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
5. Knowledge of expatriate tax.
6. Keen to contribute to the overall success of HTC.
7. Ability to plan and manage own workload, understanding the importance of managing a varied workload with strict deadlines.
