As a Costings Engineer, you’ll be responsible for a range of projects from £200k to over £30 million. Your role will start with enquiries from the Sales Manager and collaboration with the Engineering team on initial sketches. You’ll then take charge of piecing together costings for every part and process, working closely with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Projects, and sub-contractors. Your aim will be to ensure accuracy and completeness before refining proposals for our customers.

To excel in this Costings Engineer role, you should have:
Significant experience in estimating complex, multi-component rotating machinery, with a strong technical understanding.
Solid awareness/understanding of machining and fabrication processes would be ideal.
Proficiency in reading & interpreting technical drawings, ideally in a machining or fabrication environment.
Experience with ERP systems, with the ability to leverage case studies & historic costs for underpinning estimates (training will be provided on their system, Epicor).
A meticulous eye for detail and accuracy in costings.
Experience with AutoCAD or Inventor 3D is advantageous but not essential.
