1. Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner, responding to their inquiries and addressing any concerns.
2. Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient paperwork.
3. Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing charts, processing medical records, and updating patient information.
4. Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) systems such as Dentrix or Epic to manage patient data and perform various tasks.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
6. Conduct various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with medical procedures.
7. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
8. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient care.
9. Maintain a clean and organized office environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
10. Operate various office equipment, including phone systems and computers.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Post-secondary education in a medical administrative field or related experience.
3. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, such as Dentrix or Epic.
4. Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Familiarity with office software and phone systems.
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
10. Physical stamina to perform clinical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
