The Home
Braefield Court is located in the idyllic village of Connor; it is a newly built facility which opened its doors in November 2022. The service consists of 7 bedrooms, it has really been built with our residents at the heart of it, and specifically tailored to meet the needs of adults living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Needs. Our residents have the opportunity to access local areas for horse riding, cycling, cinema, eateries, all with staff support 24 hours per day. Braefield Court’s team won the Innovative Practice Award at the Independent Health and Care Providers Awards, which was not only a triumph for the team, but an underpinning of how initiative and commitment within the team and to our residents has made an incredible difference to people’s lives.
The Role
The role of the Administrative Assistant is to work closely with the Administrator and Home Manager to support the operational needs of the Home. As the first point of contact for visitors, relatives, external agencies and team members the Administrative Assistant promotes the warm and welcoming culture of each Home.
This role is a key support role in the administrative tasks of the Home, assisting with resident and employee records, supporting the Administrator and Home Manager with compliance and regulatory requirements.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the experience of each person who enters the Home, ensuring the safety of the residents and staff by greeting visitors and ensuring they are able to fulfil the purpose of their visit.

About The Role
Main Responsibilities
* Provides efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to the home, including document and report production, telephone enquiries, diary management, meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate.
* Create and update resident and employee folders as well as systems, adhering to RQIA standards.
* Maintain accurate resident and staff records.
* Responsible for the security, confidentiality and accuracy of data, information, and systems.
* Assisting with the HR and Recruitment process including assisting in the booking and assisting of interviews, collection of documentation and compliance.
* Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.

Desired Criteria
* Previous administration experience within a nursing home environment preferable
* Keyboard and PC skills with a basic level of proficiency for the standard range of office applications such as word and excel.
Required Criteria
* To be organised and able to prioritise a varied and competitive workload
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to act with discretion when required
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent standard, with a high level of English and numeracy.
* Previous experience within an administrative or customer service role
* The Right to Work in the UK- with no sponsorship required
