Are you a dedicated and experienced Dispenser looking to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and reliable individual to join our team at Rosedean Surgery. As a Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, while providing exceptional service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all medicines and appliances are dispensed in accordance with prescriptions.
* Maintain high standards in stock control and manage the storage of medications, including refrigerated items.
* Handle prescription charges, patient exemption statements, and cash transactions, ensuring all financial records are maintained correctly.
* Collaborate with GPs, prescribing clinicians, and the clinical pharmacist to resolve any prescription-related queries.
* Endorse prescription forms and forward them securely to NHS Prescription Services for processing and reimbursement.
* Respond promptly to drug alerts and escalate safety concerns, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Support other dispensary functions, as required, and undertake additional duties to contribute to the smooth running of the practice.
What We’re Looking For:
* Essential Qualifications and Experience:
o NVQ Level 2/3 in Pharmacy Service Skills or Pharmacy-related qualification.
o A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in dispensing.
o Computer literate with strong organizational skills.
o Effective communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team.
* Experience in a primary care setting.
* Knowledge of the EMIS Clinical System.
