Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Project Engineer to join a dynamic team in Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across the built environment, including residential, commercial, educational, healthcare buildings, and infrastructure such as water retention systems and wind farms. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience and a strong foundation in structural mechanics and design principles.
Requirements:
* Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or higher, focusing on Structural Engineering.
* Chartered Engineer status is preferable.
* 8 to 12 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
* Proficient in Eurocode design for steel, timber, concrete, and masonry.
* Strong understanding of mechanics and complex structural design principles.
* Experience with finite element analysis and design software such as Autodesk Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, and CADS A3D.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare tender documents and assess tenders for site investigation works.
* Design complex structures, including deep foundations, transfer structures, torsional beams, and flat slabs.
* Oversee design tasks delegated to design engineers and graduates, ensuring quality and compliance.
* Prepare and review calculation packages for both hand-based and computer-based designs.
* Develop specification documents and collaborate with other disciplines to prepare technical reports.
* Supervise drawing development, review Navisworks and Revit models, and coordinate with project teams.
* Ensure adherence to quality management procedures and mentor junior team members in QMS processes.
* Conduct site inspections, prepare BCAR reports, and assist in the preparation of ancillary certificates.
* Manage project financials, including work breakdown structures (WBS), invoicing, and periodic financial reviews.
