The Project
As a highly experienced Site Engineer, you will have a key role as part of the technical/build team on a large new build renewable project in North Yorkshire. You will be responsible for monitoring large-scale cut and fill operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all groundworks. This includes overseeing substantial cut and fill activities as well as the construction of large lagoons, focusing on setting profiles and gradients to meet project specifications. A critical part of the role involves the use of Trimble System on dozers, developing precise models for the project and ensuring the equipment operates with maximum accuracy.
Requirements
For this role, it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum:
1. Valid CSCS Card
It is also essential that you hold the experience below:
1. Extensive background using software including TopCon, CAD tools, and other relevant technology
2. Previous experience working with tier 1 or tier 2 leading construction contractors or subcontractors
3. Proven history of successfully delivering projects in a similar position with build values in excess of £5m+

Duties
1. Surveying
2. Setting out
3. Quality assurance
4. Create as-built surveys and log data
5. Consistently reporting into the Visiting Contracts Manager
6. Provide technical advice to project team members and clients
7. Analyse and execute technical drawings, plans, and specifications
8. Collaborate closely with the team to facilitate seamless project implementation
9. Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of all site personnel
10. Collaborate with other members of site staff to set up and uphold project schedules
11. Identify and address any technical issues or challenges encountered during the construction
12. Perform site surveys and establish reference points, lines, and levels for construction purposes
13. Execute quality control protocols to ensure all tasks adhere to required standards and specifications
14. Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project plans
15. Implement and oversee compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards
16. Assist in procuring materials and equipment, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timely delivery
17. Develop and deliver regular progress reports, updates, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders
18. Keep meticulous and precise project records, encompassing daily logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
19. Manage and coordinate testing of materials, equipment, and systems, ensuring they meet required standards and specifications
