What you'll be doing?
1. Managing disputes/potential disputes through negotiation, collaborative working, and escalation.
2. Participate in identifying areas of risk/scope and develop/monitor with project teams/manufacturing facility.
3. Reporting on the ageing of WIP (work complete not invoiced) and developing the relevant tools and strategies to ensure this is minimised across your division.
4. Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.
5. Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
6. Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports).
7. Pre and post contract administration including preparing cost, plans, estimates, measurement for bills of quantities, tendering & procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, valuations, and final accounts.
8. Managing all contract communication including Early Warnings, Project Managers Instructions and Compensation Events, and accepting/rejecting Contractors Notifications.
What you'll need?
1. BSc Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or similar.
2. Experience as a project QS in a Contractor or Sub-Contractor organisation.
3. Working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract.
4. Multi-site experience.
5. Experienced in holding responsibility for a project including all internal/external reporting.
6. Practical communicator in a dynamic business via oral and PowerBI etc.
7. Travel to and be a part of site teams.
8. Full UK driving licence.
