Kilnbridge are a leading engineering and construction solutions business who undertake some of the most demanding and diverse construction projects in the UK.
We are currently looking for a Transport Controller to join our Waste Management Team. Our ideal candidate will have good organisation skills, excellent time management skills and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities
* Book in over the weighbridge, recording accurately the vehicle, weight, time, date and customer. Book out vehicles and issue weighbridge tickets again recording accurately the date, material and destination.
* Ensure company compliance with Dangerous Goods Regulations, in line with company process and procedures.
* Review data routinely to check accuracy.
* Complete site diary daily.
* Carry out daily/weekly site inspections.
* Prepare and manage driver rotas to ensure trained cover for absence. and appropriate vehicles are available.
* Monitor and record the number of jobs going on the board and communicate with the team.
* Process credit card payments prior to skip despatch.
* Update computers with order information ensuring data integrity is always maintained.

Schedule of skip deliveries, exchanges and collections in accordance with customer requirements.
*
Monitor the turnaround of tested skips every six months.
*
Ensure out of date skips are recalled and booked for test or visual inspection. Document/record up to date certificates on Excel.
*
Monitor the download of driver digital driver cards weekly and send to Sigma monthly for analysis.
*
Monitor driver infringements; highlight any ongoing issues to Director — Waste Management.
*
Ensure lorries are dispatched for inspection / MOT at Cody Road.
*
Pre-book hauliers to collect materials from yard.
*
Ensure site supplies are ordered (e.g. diesel, oil, PPE, etc).
*
Download Fuel Usage report Monthly
*
Update LOLER records and PUWER log on a weekly basis.
*
Ensure vehicle/plant defects are reported and repairs arranged with Workshop Manager.
*
Record cash sales accurately ensuring no transactions are omitted.
*
Monitor driver productivity and assist in helping them achieve targets by effective communication and routing of vehicles.
*
FORS champion for WMD.
*
Maintain vehicle and driver details on the ISYS system.
*
Issue and manage the completion of Vehicle Accident forms and associated paperwork. Attend monthly/ quarterly team meetings and any other meetings as and when required.
*
Attend monthly Plant & Transport Meeting at Cody Road (when required).
*
Attend and deliver Toolbox Talks.
*
Liaise with Director - Waste Management to arrange contractor to cover KCSL weekend works. Setting up Suppliers, Outlets and Vehicles.
Skills
* Qualified First Aider and/or Traffic Marshall would be ideal for this position. Training would be provided to ensure recognised qualifications and accreditations are kept up to date.
Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role
