We're looking for a Depot Health & Safety Manager to join the Risk, Health and Safety (RHS) team within our Newhouse and Dalcross depots. In this role you'll report to our Regional Risk & Safety Lead; working alongside them and our Depot General Manager to create an environment that keeps our logistics colleagues safe. We'll look to you to make sure we maintain the highest possible safeguarding standards and always look to improve ways of working to prioritise and protect the safety and security of our teams. What you'll do
* Provide health and safety expertise, advice, and guidance to all teams within our Newhouse and Dalcross depots
* Collaborate with our Newhouse and Dalcross leadership team to build a top-tier safety culture across the depots
* Support our Regional Risk & Safety Lead and Depot General Manager with the delivery of our H&S strategy
* Carry-out regular H&S inspections and feed back into our depot management team
* Identify and explore opportunities to implement initiatives that reduce accidents and increase safety
* Coach and support managers in conducting accident investigations
* Facilitate training for colleagues to make sure everyone upholds our depot H&S standards
* Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including safety teams, depot teams, support functions, trade unions, and enforcement agencies
* Continue to collaboratively develop both depots Safety Culture

* A background in Health & Safety. with experience applying legislative requirements
* A NEBOSH general certificate
* A solid understanding of H&S principles and legislations
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively
