School Premises Manager
Temporary, Full-Time (37.5 Hours per week)
Location: Newton-le-Willows
Hours: 8.30am-4.30pm (Monday-Friday)
Our client is an independent special school. They are looking to appoint a confident and reliable School Premises Manager. This is a temporary role initially for 2 months, but it has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
To be considered YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Previous experience working as a Premises Manager within a School or College setting
2. Hold a current Enhanced DBS
3. Be available to start ASAP
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Ensure regular and thorough site inspections (including statutory testing) are carried out, ensuring any necessary remedial works are actioned promptly.
2. Monitor the work of site staff and contractors, ensuring safe working practice and quality of work.
3. Advise on site development projects and make recommendations on site use.
4. Be available out of hours for emergency contact.
5. Arrange larger repairs and obtain quotes from contractors.
6. Effectively manage premises budget in accordance with Financial Procedures.
7. Ensure transport is maintained in accordance with regulations.
8. Arrange regular periodic deep cleans of classrooms, staffrooms, dining areas, and other frequently used spaces on premises.
9. Develop, manage, and monitor a preventative programme of maintenance.
10. Produce an ongoing costed development plan in respect of premises and health and safety.
