We are seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children and Family Community Service team on the Channel Islands. Your Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs, including dysphagia.
Develop and implement personalised intervention plans, collaborating with educators, healthcare professionals, and families.
Lead service improvements for children with complex needs, including AAC and literacy development.
Provide specialist training and input for curriculum planning in schools and other settings.
Supervise less experienced therapists and assistants, fostering professional growth within the team.
Liaise with external services such as Southampton Hospital and the ACE Centre to ensure holistic care.
What We're Looking For
A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health Professions Council.
Expertise in paediatric dysphagia, AAC, and literacy development.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
A minimum of four years post-qualification experience, with a proven track record in paediatric therapy.
