Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Project Manager - Modular located in Blackburn, UK. Reporting to the Senior Projects Team Lead, the Project Manager - Modular role involves managing high value modular projects of high complexity, in order to meet performance indicators (quality, delivery, cost etc.) What a typical day looks like:
Establish project schedule, financial parameters, and technical requirements, managing projects from Sales handover to full completion.
Communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedule, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams, including engineers, senior management, and consultants.
Review project production schedules and identify any problem areas.
Assess causes of problems and provide technical support and direction to project team to resolve issues.
Develop status reports, including project financials, ensuring project team is meeting customer requirements and measuring cost control.
Maintain project plan documents, procedures, and project deliverables.
Deliver Projects to specification, on time, on schedule, in line with the company standards of Quality and Safety and to budget to maximize the profits of the company.
Manage multiple projects taking full ownership and responsibility.
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to required timescales & cost restrictions.
Control, monitor and manage assigned projects to include regular reporting against plans & where necessary intervening to ensure a timely delivery.
Ensure effective, timely & appropriate solutions are developed, communicated & implemented to fulfil the business requirement.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the client, colleagues and any other associated third party.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Return monthly applications & invoicing to the financial team on time and prepare final accounts with Accounts department.
Provide concise & accurate reports to the Senior Projects Team Lead as and when required.
Promote, develop, and always extend any business of the company and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience of Data Centre electrical & mechanical infrastructure and associated equipment.
Experience of electrical infrastructure and distribution equipment, for example RMUs, Power Transformers, MV & LV Switchgear, UPS Systems and general electrical principles.
Experience of Cooling solutions, for example CRAC/CRAH units, Split A/C Systems, DX, water cooled and free-cooling systems.
Experience of fire detection and suppression systems.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years project management/project engineering experience.
Proven experience in project management within manufacturing, construction, mechanical, electrical or similar.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with a very high standard of attention to detail.
Must be able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurised environment, demonstrating flexibility.
