Vacancy: Senior Process Engineer Location: Clitheroe Job Family: Engineering As the Senior Process Engineer you will contribute to the site wide Process Safety Programme including Process Hazard Reviews (preparation, contribution, action follow up), Relief Stream checking/updates and SIL/LOPA studies. You will be a member of the Plant Leadership team for the operational area, managing two process engineers, therefore previous leadership experience is desirable. Your responsibilities: To manage modifications using the site Management Of Change system that will improve Safety, Quality, Delivery or Cost To identify potential Capital projects and give technical and operating advice on designs to the Project Development Team To be responsible for the commissioning and handover of Capital projects to the production teams. To design, plan, execute and analyse data from plant trials to achieve incremental improvement of products, processes or raw materials. To apply detailed technical understanding and experience in support of production teams in the understanding of more complex, less easily understood process problems and contribute to the development of the basic operational knowledge of the production teams by providing understanding of the principles of product application and processes. To supervise contract engineers, PEDP, student and school placements in order for them to understand their roles and maximise their contribution to the site. To lead and implement rate increasing steps, in line with S&OP manufacturing requirements, for equipment or sections of plant by the changing of the equipment and/or methods of operation to meet operational demands. To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed. Requirements for the role: Degree in Chemical Engineering (Chartership is desirable). Significant experience in the process industry. Ability to develop hands on plant experience and understanding- organises self and maintains focus to grow own knowledge of different sites for business benefit Experience problem solving/ handling and interpreting information/ design of experiments Interpersonal communication skills to enthuse & gain commitment from individuals and groups Customer applications knowledge- has insight of key business processes. Develops options for supply chain improvement.
