Due to internal promotion, we have an amazing opportunity for a Workshop Accounts Assistant to join the team based at our Garage Offices on Caton Road, Lancaster in a full-time capacity, Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing as our Workshop Accounts Assistant?
The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day accounts administration, supporting the Workshop Accounts Manager in the delivery of timely and quality financial management reporting on workshop accounts in the Autoline system for both the Lancaster and Stoke-on-Trent workshops.
Essential duties and job responsibilities are, but not limited to:
* Purchase Ledger: invoice input, verification, and processing payment run
* Sales Ledger: invoicing both internal and external clients on repairing and MOTs, maintaining accounts allocation on a weekly basis
* Cashbook and bank reconciliations
* Monthly payroll administration for workshop floor staff
* Credit Control and working within credit control policy and procedures
* Fleet Administration: Reception cover as and when required by the Business Creating job cards and R2C records, workshop loading, and assisting in the maintenance of MOT booking systems
* To assist in achieving branch KPI’s in relation to efficiency, targets, recovery rates and invoice lead time
* To undertake projects in support of Senior Management using initiative and thoroughness
* To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required, consistent with the nature and level of the post
What skills & qualifications do you need to be our Workshop Accounts Assistant?
* Accounts Experience +3 years
* Computer literate. Fully competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Good interpersonal skills – an ability to work as a team player within a busy department
* Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
* Effective communication skills
* Attention to detail
* GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
* Knowledge of the automotive industry (desirable)
* Knowledge of ADP Autoline 8.35 IT system (desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided)
* Knowledge of warranty systems and procedures (desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided)
