Job Description
1. Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
3. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
6. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
7. Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
8. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Buyer' should have:
1. Proven working experience as a buyer in the retail industry.
2. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel.
4. Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
5. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
6. Experience in collecting and analysing data.
7. Strong leadership capabilities.

The Buyer will receive the following:
1. Competitive salary ranging between £38,000 - £45,000 per year.
2. Hybrid working model, with 3 days in office (Bristol) and 2 days from home.
3. Flexible working hours, with key hours between 9am - 3.30pm.
4. 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
