About the role An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen, due to retirement, to work within our in-house vehicle, plant and equipment workshop in Crawley. This role offers a chance to work on all aspects of testing, maintenance and repair, working on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment including: HGV agricultural tractors sweepers vans cars ride on mowers handheld tools such as chainsaws and strimmers The position therefore requires a thorough and up to date knowledge and strong experience of all aspects of road transport engineering, typically gained from a recognised apprenticeship including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic disciplines with an understanding of the relevant legal requirements. You will work closely with users of these assets to help them understand how to keep their equipment properly maintained and operational, whilst minimising down time. Therefore, being customer focused with good communication and interpersonal skills is a prerequisite, along with having a positive and enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
