Job Description
Our well-established client based in central Gloucester require an Assistant Finance Manager to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
To apply for this role you must hold a finance related qualification and have previous experience in an accounting role.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records
2. Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in accordance with company policies
3. Reconcile bank statements, trust accounts and assist in the resolution of discrepancies
4. Reconcile credit card statements and processing of receipts
5. Process and submit VAT returns
6. Journaling of prepayments and accruals
7. Enter financial data into accounting software with high accuracy
8. Assist in generating financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
9. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
10. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
11. Liaise with suppliers, clients, and other departments to address financial enquiries and issues
12. Assist in communicating financial information to team members and management
13. Assist and provide leadership to the finance team
14. Conduct and lead on team meetings and employee development
Salary: up to £35,000 - depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week, 2 days per week working from home
