Stantec are looking to appoint an M&E Revit Technician to join our busy multidisciplinary Building Services team in Reading. Our portfolio of clients and work is expanding as the demand for our expertise continues to grow and our M&E and environmental design portfolio is no exception. The variety and volume of our project wins is ever increasing, and we have ambitious plans to strengthen our building services engineering and environmental design capability and as such we are looking to add further experience to our team to support our aspirational growth plans. Joining an established team of Revit / CAD technicians, this is a unique opportunity to work in a truly integrated engineering environment that has been structured to respond to the future demands of the construction industry. Our multi-disciplinary engineering teams within Stantec work together to deliver building solutions utilising BIM and the latest industry technology. You will manage the Revit drawing process for the MEP design from Stage 2 design through to Stage 4. You will ensure all M&E drawing work is fully coordinated, avoiding any clashes, and accurately integrated within the architectural and structural design. You will produce accurate referencing of drawings, including updating revision status and ensure all drawing issues are accompanied with a drawing issue register. Your projects will vary, ranging from strategic master planning through to detailed design and construction and you will be part of a wider M&E and multi-disciplinary engineering team. Projects include residential schemes ranging from 40-800 units, commercial, education and many more. The team is currently using Autodesk AEC Collection 2020, Revit MEP and BIM360. This is a key role within our team and there will be ample scope to grow and develop your personal profile and learn new skills along the way to further your career. About You You will ideally hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or should be able to demonstrate significant experience working within the industry. You will have a proven track record in a Revit team ideally gained within a design engineering consultancy. You will also have the necessary skills and experience to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders where you will be working closely with clients, and other professional staff across multi-disciplinary business groups. - Excellent understanding of AutoCAD & Revit MEP - Experienced in drafting all typical MEP systems, i.e., HVAC, LTHW, BCWS, LV distribution, life safety systems, M&E Plant rooms etc. - Good understanding of construction process and associated MEP services. - Able to comply and maintain company's Revit / CAD standards and workflows.
