Job Description
The Residential Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the therapeutic milieu at Pride Manchester House, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) for youth ages 5-13. The role involves managing and training DSPs, ensuring adherence to Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) practices, and collaborating with the clinical team to ensure youth receive the highest level of care. Responsibilities include:
* Utilize trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approaches to support the well-being, emotional regulation, and autonomy of children and families.
* Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentorship to DSPs.
* Manage DSP scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and appropriate staffing ratios.
* Actively participate in the evaluation of DSP performance.
* Collaborate with therapists to create individualized ‘road maps’ for each child.
* Ensure the therapeutic milieu supports the individualized care and treatment goals for each youth.
* Collaborate with other treatment providers to ensure consistent approaches to emotional regulation.
* Plan and assist in implementing trauma-informed groups and activities.
* Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new DSPs.
* Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all documentation related to staff performance.
* Role-model and guide DSPs to foster a positive, supportive environment.
* Ensure safety protocols are followed.
* Attend required agency meetings and training.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or better in Social Work or related field.
