Overview:
To aid defining the range strategy to ensure we strengthen the value proposition.
1. Manage the whole product development lifecycle from brief to successful launch.
2. Oversee the range planning process, including upkeep with range amendments, deletions, and product introductions.
3. Run the weekly NPD meeting to progress report range development and critical path decision making.
4. Manage critical path timeline for successful launch.
5. Ensure successful on-time development of new products, accessories, and point-of-sale materials and displays.
6. Present new product ideas for assessment along with feasibility costings.
7. Direct briefing and liaison with 3rd parties.
8. Ensure all new products meet quality, technical, and production requirements.
9. Draft and sign off specifications in line with the new products being developed.
10. Work with the Purchasing team to firm up costings and liaise with factories.
11. Brainstorm new ideas to meet customer requirements.
12. Study customer requirements to develop new ideas.
13. Conduct competitive set and benchmarking analysis with presentations to the internal team with proposals.
14. Manage sampling requirements with factories to meet concepts briefed.
15. Undertake trials and assist customers in achieving successful technical performance.
16. Ensure all products are fully compliant.
17. Sign off sample requirements and hand over to the Quality team to ensure compliance with specifications.
18. Manage sample requirements to meet photography, development sign off, internal launch, and play a hand in first-off gold seal sign off.
19. Work with the Quality Manager and undertake risk analysis with FMEA and other such tools.
20. As the product owner, determine which product features should be highlighted, ensuring that product features in scope are ready for development and carry out acceptance tests on developed features.
