The successful post holder will provide inspirational advocacy for quality improvements across Mountbatten Isle of Wight and Mountbatten Hampshire.
This role will advise and support the Director of Quality, Data and Information and Director of Nursing in the development and delivery of a strategy for quality and act as a champion for patient safety and user involvement.
Main duties of the job
You will contribute to developing a culture of internal and external stakeholder engagement, being at the heart of all service change and development, working with service leads to implement and assess user involvement and feedback processes.
Working with the Director of Quality, Data and Information, Director of Nursing and departmental leads, you will ensure that there is up to date evidence in place in order to ensure compliance with the Care Quality Commissions Standards.

Job responsibilities
Key Tasks
1. Promote an open culture, leading on reporting of incidents and risk reporting and take action on the lessons learnt.
2. Ensure staff understand, accept and effectively respond to identified trends from complaints and concerns, working with the relevant members of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
3. Represent Mountbatten at local and regional meetings and events as required.
4. Act as the Mountbatten champion for patient safety and user involvement to ensure that patient related issues and safety risks are identified and managed to achieve the highest levels of patient safety, experience and positive risk-taking.
5. Support the Director of Quality, Data and Information and Director of Nursing and clinical Team Leaders by leading and coordinating the compilation of the necessary evidence that demonstrates improvements in clinical care and clinical outcomes, learning from clinical risk matters and positive service changes.
6. Responsible for patient safety incident reporting framework (PSIRIF) and other information from patient safety and experience issues in order to understand and disseminate lessons learned.

Experience
* Demonstrable record of innovation and leading change resulting in the development of flexible, robust patient centred services.
* Experience of working with the wider health and social care community networks.
* Conducting investigations.

Skills
* Good standard of IT literacy and use of Word, Office.

Qualifications
* Professional registration.
* Relevant post graduate qualification, degree or higher in a clinical discipline.
* Management/Leadership training.
