What we are looking for: A polite, conscientious, confident and considerate member of staff to join our security team. We are looking for someone who is personable and approachable who feels confident speaking to customers and de-escalating difficult situations. The main role of our security team is to make customers feel welcomed and safe and to deal with any issues that may arise in a calm, sensible and professional manner.
Job Description:
As a member of our security team you would be expected to greet customers when they arrive, be knowledgeable about what shows are on, timings and where customers need to go and answer any questions they may have. Once everyone is in the venue and the show has started, you would be carrying out toilet checks and keeping an eye on everyone in the show, ensuring that no one is filming or disrupting the show. If anyone is being disruptive, they will need to be spoken to politely but firmly and discreetly, and a manager informed. During intervals you will be manning the doors for people going to smoke and ensuring only ticket holders are coming back in and if the manager wishes to eject anyone, this is usually done in the intervals. Throughout the night you would continue to monitor the crowd and when the show is over it is up to you to help clear the room, giving customers drinking-up time and politely encouraging them to leave. Occasionally we have shows that have meet and greets with the acts, so you would be required to manage the queues for this and ensure the acts are safe.
