The role
As a Commissioning Training and Competency Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This job stands out as extraordinary because it focuses on both strategic and hands-on aspects of workforce development within the Submarine Commissioning Group.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure the Submarine Commissioning Group personnel have the necessary documentation to record and demonstrate individual training and experience.
* Development and delivery of training courses
* Developing the supporting documentation
* Identifying opportunities for further developing experiential learning
* Provide demonstrable experience and training within the Commissioning Group.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Commissioning Training and Competency Coordinator
* A background in commissioning or training / competence development
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Be able to work with Commissioning Group Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop technical training material
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and formal written correspondence.
* Knowledge of dockyard operations and a submarine environment is advantageous.
Qualifications for the Commissioning Training and Competency Coordinator
* HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline with membership of appropriate institution
* NUC0794 Nuclear Fundamentals (foundation) Course Module 2
* QUAL0002 Submarine Quality Assurance Course
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
