Network Infrastructure Support Engineer
The role of the IT Infrastructure Engineer is to manage day-to-day activities to develop, deliver, and support the infrastructure and upgrades needed to deliver this programme.
You will be part of the 10-person UK ICT team but be assigned to the programme on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical and project management support.
2. Define, manage, track, and proactively deliver technical solutions to achieve project goals.
3. Implement technical changes and solutions into the Company’s environments.
4. Ensure all solutions are in line with Company policies and standards.
5. Act as the interface between the project and BAU support team.
6. Fully document all solutions and activities.
You will report to the Head of Global Infrastructure and the European IT Director.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
2. Understanding of ITIL and Prince 2 practices.
3. MCP certification along with at least 5 years of experience in desktop and application rollouts.
4. Ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
5. Must be able to document solutions and support users through system changes.
6. Effective time management and organizational skills.
7. Ability to learn new systems quickly and apply them in the work environment.
8. Previous experience in supporting a school environment (desirable).
Technical Skills:
1. Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 administration.
2. Windows 10 operating system.
3. Azure Portal.
4. Microsoft Intune.
5. uniFLOW management software.
6. Meraki Access Points.
7. Knowledge of SIMS.net (desirable).
8. Knowledge of education applications (desirable).
The position will be based in Milton Keynes with travel to various locations in the UK.
The rate is negotiable.
This is a 6-month contract assignment based in Milton Keynes.
