Purchasing Manager

As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimising purchasing strategies, leading a team, and driving cost efficiencies. Reporting directly to the SLT, you will oversee a team of two buyers, ensuring the procurement process aligns with the company's growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and international suppliers.
Analyse spend and profit margins to secure cost-effective deals.
Manage daily purchasing activities, ensuring stock availability and profitability.
Forecast demand and mitigate risks to optimise procurement.
Track and report key purchasing metrics, driving improvements where necessary.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
Lead stock management and optimisation initiatives.
Enhance purchasing systems and processes for greater efficiency.
Conduct weekly purchasing meetings to review KPIs and team performance.
Provide leadership and development for the purchasing team.
Maintain supplier performance standards and oversee contract negotiations.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a purchasing role.
Purchasing qualification (Degree, CIPS, or equivalent) desirable
Strong knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
