Our client, based in Biggin Hill, specializes in both traditional industrial and commercial combustion burners and cutting-edge industrial, high-efficiency, hydrogen-ready condensing boilers. Currently, they seek a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The role involves assisting the Engineering Team Leader & Technical Director with new engineering projects, including generating GA drawings for submittal through to manufacturing drawings, managing orders, works orders, and communicating with customers. Additionally, the engineer will address and resolve customer queries, utilizing Autodesk 3D AutoCAD for drawings, primarily mechanical with some basic electrical drawing modifications.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Work closely with the Engineering Team Leader assisting where necessary with new designs of new products and projects as and when necessary.
* Completing manufacturing drawings using Autodesk 3D Inventor
* Completing general assembly drawings for burner/boiler layouts using Autodesk 3D AutoCAD
* Resolve technical queries within the burner assembly area and with the main engineering team
* Carrying out engineering design calculations for specific projects
* Liaising with customers throughout the process of their order from the time the PO has been placed through to the date of dispatch
* Dealing with any technical queries
* Raising purchase orders for current projects
* Following a Quality management system ISO9001
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Preferably Degree educated with a relevant degree
* Autodesk Inventor fluent
* Autodesk 2D CAD
* Autodesk Vault
* Working on multibody models
* Able to work and implement ilogic to models.
* Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook
* Project Management - Ideally
* Quality Control experience would be beneficial.
* Can work in a team
* Able to read and understand drawings.
* Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing and tooling requirements
* Familiar with ISO9001
* ASME, CE, UL manufacturing standards
* Knowledge using CAD software, AutoCAD
* Able to work under own initiative and formulate strategies.
* Able to identify and maximise commercial opportunities
