We are working in partnership with our Secondary Schools based in Wandsworth and Richmond.
The schools are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor who is confident in their ability to manage challenging behaviours in the classroom.
Responsibilities
· Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
· Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
· Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
· Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the schools polices and procedures
· Collecting and completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
· Reporting back as appropriate using the schools agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising
· Must be very good with behaviour management and able to control a class
· Confident with secondary school experience.
Experience The successful candidate should possess:
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to control a class - Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting - Ability to educate and engage students effectively - Familiarity with tutoring or mentoring roles - Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum - Strong communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people - Creative writing skills to develop engaging learning materials
