The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Stress Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for conducting stress analysis across the whole vehicle design process.
Day-to-day, you’ll conduct structural assessments using hand calculations and finite element analysis:
* Design and assessment for explosive shock survivability
* Technical investigations and feasibility studies
* Management and assessment of structural defects
* Assessment of capability upgrades
* Support to future vehicle development projects
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and can be based out of Bristol, Walsall or Plymouth.
Experience required of the Senior Mechanical Stress Analyst
* Familiarity with structural assessment methods, standards and codes
* Experience in finite element analysis software such as SolidWorks simulation
* Analytical approach to problem solving
* Knowledge and technical understanding of appropriate standards
* Knowledge of vehicle analysis preferred but not mandatory
Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Stress Analyst
* Degree level qualified in relevant STEM subject
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
