The Role
The finance controller will report to the Chief Finance Officer and be responsible for the financial reporting of Soldo’s non-regulated entities, including the group holding company, which consists of several companies across Soldo.
* Oversee the operations of the accounting department (including accounts receivable and accounts payable) of all our entities to achieve the department’s global goals and objectives, including management of month-end close
* Manage a finance team of approximately 8 people across Management Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable plus outsourced functions
* Manage the Group consolidated accounts which includes multiple entities in multiple jurisdictions and prepare corporate annual report and group financial statement and manage auditors
* Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory laws, tax laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
* Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, maintain the chart of accounts, maintain an orderly accounting filing system
* Take ownership of all technical accounting matters for a growing international business, including revenue recognition matters
* Manage and ensure that the accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
* Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations are completed
* Comply with HMRC and Italian requirements (e.g., quarterly VAT returns)
* Support group cash control and monthly cash flow forecasts
We're looking for someone who must have:
* Worked with/implemented Netsuite
* Experience of working within a SaaS organisation
* Accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
* Managed and trained a growing accounting department
It would be nice if you have:
* High level skills in speaking Italian
* Supported in complying with FCA and CBI requirements
* Experience in working for an accountancy firm
