The role of the Digital Inclusion Advisor is to assist the Digital Inclusion Manager with the delivery of our ambitious digital inclusion programme to address digital inequality. This will cut across all digital activity both in and out of the health board setting. There are eight pillars to this programme which will include the need to embed the following themes in digital activity:
Recognise digital access and skills as a social determinant of health Co-design digital health services Improve digital health literacy in the population Develop 'digital health hubs' to improve inclusion Build trust and relationships with poorly-served groups Harness the benefits of digital for health and wellbeing Improve digital skills in the health and care workforce Embed digital inclusion in health and care and wellbeing strategies
The Digital Inclusion Adviser role involves implementing and delivering digital inclusion support and activities across the workforce internally and to provide a joined-up approach tackling digital exclusion through working closely with external stakeholders and key partners to support the development and growth of sustainable digital inclusion activities.
