Job Description
The Finance Analyst is responsible for the financial management of key client accounts. Establishing and operating a financial management process that ensures that both internal (T&T) and external client needs are met and that the account is profitable. The Finance Analyst is the single point of contact for all Finance related queries on the commission. To support the Finance Lead within the SE region to ensure that the monthly financial objectives of the operational Directors and the Head Office Finance department are met, on time and in accordance with company policy and procedure.
1. Set up and maintenance of contract / projects on the Financial Management System – Dynamics (charge rates, project forecasts, forecast spread)
2. Management of Interco agreements and Interco invoices
3. Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting reviews with Project Directors / Leadership team
4. Explain variances against forecast figures
5. Maintaining up to date data within Dynamics 365
6. Reviewing and analysing utilisation data from Dynamics 365
7. Taking personal responsibility for reconciliation checks across financial data to omit errors
8. Responsible for the monthly invoices and billing reports
9. Management and collation of client timesheets to support invoicing
10. Responsible for the monthly finance report to the external client
11. Dealing first hand with financial queries from operational staff
12. Management of Interco agreements and Interco Purchase orders as well as Subcontractor PO’s
13. Support for the Credit Control team
14. Provision of data for reports and audits
15. Respond to requests for information on profitability
16. Check and approve contractors’ invoices on purchase ledger
Qualifications
Skills
1. Quantitative skills – understanding and manipulating numbers and data
2. Analytical and problem solving ability. There is a strong preference for solutions orientated attitude
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
4. Diligent attitude to carry out role and tasks; adhering to monthly deadlines
5. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, developed through various stakeholders
6. Strong organisation and time management
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be an advantage
8. Advance understanding of financial mechanisms, processes, procedures and systems (Full training on Turner & Townsend’s systems and services will be provided)
9. Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
10. Flexible and responsive attitude
Qualifications
1. Extensive experience working within accountancy/finance based roles
2. Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and management accounts
3. Experienced in using financial management systems (Microsoft D365) and Power BI reports
4. Experienced and skilled at cooperating, collaborating and managing in a diverse multicultural, multi national and multi partner project environment
