As an Assistant Category Merchandiser within Computing, you’ll be working with one of our most exciting categories. Our Merchandising teams help our categories hit targets by building relationships with suppliers and monitoring performance. You’ll be at the heart of our success, helping our Category Merchandiser to deliver category performance. To support your development, you’ll have an opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship in Buying & Merchandising You'll be able to start your apprenticeship within a few months of joining the team (subject to eligibility). Key Responsibilities: Build close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and our supply chain to ensure continuity of supply Step up and take responsibility for achieving all key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin and markdown) Assist the category team with store feedback issues regarding stock and availability Review sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and market trends Monitor weekly performance and make recommendations to ensure that we implement in-season plans and deliver target availability across the store estate You’ll need: 1-2 years' experience in a similar role A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning or similar Experience of business objects Strong numerical, analytical skills, and communication skills We know our people are the secret to our success.
