Regional Nurse Manager – Community Complex Care
Hybrid/Remote + Regional Travel Across the Southwest

Overview
At Compass Associates, we’re excited to collaborate with a community complex care provider across the UK, specialising in both adult and paediatric community complex care packages. Providing home care support for individuals with complex health conditions, including Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, and Motor Neuron Disease.
We are currently collaborating to recruit a Regional Nurse Manager for the Southwest region, covering areas such as Devon, Plymouth, and Exeter. There are currently 6 packages in the region; however, this number may increase depending on what services are commissioned in the area.
As a Regional Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that service users in the region receive the highest level of care. This includes ensuring that healthcare assistants providing hands-on care are fully trained and competent in delivering safe care, including tracheostomy care.
This is a hybrid role, combining remote work from home with travel across the Southwest to meet clients, conduct signoffs, and provide training for healthcare assistants. Your typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, flexibility is required, as there may be occasions when you need to provide training on weekends or late into the evening, especially if the care package is primarily night-led. You will also be part of the on-call rota, which operates on a 1 in 4 basis and is telephone-based.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement personalised care plans for service users.
* Manage a team of carers, offering training and support to improve their clinical skills.
* Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
* Collaborate effectively with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Manage a caseload of complex care packages.
* Participate in out of hours on call rota
* Oversee care plans, competencies, and clinical documentation for all cases.
* Participate in ongoing training and development, including clinical team meetings and clinical training sessions to meet revalidation requirements.
Candidate Requirements
* RGN nurse with a valid NMC registration
* Experience in community nursing
* Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience
* Up-to-date experience of spinal and brain injuries, home ventilation, epilepsy, catheter care, enteral feeding etc within the last 2 years
* Full UK driving license
* Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs service users
Salary
Offering a highly competitive salary of £48,000, plus mileage reimbursement at a rate of 45p per mile.
