Geography Teacher/Professional - Swindon
Protocol Education are working with secondary schools in the Swindon area to appoint enthusiastic and committed Geography Teachers/Professionals. We are looking for individuals who carry a passion for Geography, working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives and education.
Start Date: ASAP
Closing Date: 31/10/24
Qualified Teachers paid to scale
Unqualified - based on experience
Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students - IF UNQUALIFIED, no planning and marking required
2. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
3. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
4. Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
5. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
Required Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Preferred but not essential
2. Degree/Experience in Geography or related field
3. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Geography
Experience:
1. Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary school level is preferred
2. Experience working with Children/Young People within education
3. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Excellent understanding of Geography concepts and principles
2. Effective classroom management skills
3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Geography specialism
2. Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
