Theatre Practitioners are key to the smooth running of each theatre. ODPs/ Nurses will work closely with the Theatre team to ensure that everything the Surgeons and Anaesthetists need each day is ready and available. You are expected to deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Supporting Clinical Excellence
1. Provide a high standard of care as set out in Theatre Standards and trust guidelines.
2. Assist surgeons in simple to complex operations and willingness to learn.
3. Maintain accurate completion of theatre records, documentation, and care plans.
4. Assess the immediate and ongoing needs of the patient and develop an individualised plan of care.
5. Regularly communicate with other team members, including Consultants, nursing staff, and other specialties.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Essential criteria
* Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
* Evidence of CPD and/or revalidation as required
* Educated to Diploma/Degree Level

* Evidence of leadership, Management, and specialty knowledge

* Evidence of teamwork and ability to work effectively within a team
* Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, prioritise, deliver and evaluate patient care
Knowledge and Experience

* Previous experience in Scrub
