Job summary
The Cardiac Non-Invasive Physiology department at the Denmark Hill site performs over 12,000 non-invasive procedures per annum, including ETT, CPET, arrhythmia analysis, syncope services and a busy device CRM clinic.
This permanent position is available for an enthusiastic individual looking to work in a supportive and patient centred environment. The post holder will perform basic cardiology investigations unsupervised and will undertake work-based training in a wide range of techniques.
The post holder will be expected to perform non-invasive cardiac investigations, analysis of 24 hour and 7 day holter tapes and assist in exercise tolerance, head up tilt and cardio-pulmonary exercise testing.
You will be expected to work from 9am to 5pm five days a week, working hours in total. This role will be based primarily within the Cardiac department Suite 6 and the cardiac catheter laboratories at Denmark Hill, but the post holder will be employed to work on any KCH site as required.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include covering non-invasive cardiac diagnostics, inclusive of ECG, Ambulatory monitoring, ECG interpretation and analysis and assisting in the following: Exercise tolerance testing, Head Up Tilt Testing and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
Maintain professional conduct at all times and work well within the team environment to support and meet the departmental vision and objectives.
Adhere to Trust, professional and local policies and procedures to ensure evidence-based quality diagnostic provision and reporting.
The post holder has a general duty of care for the health, safety and wellbeing of work colleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act of 1974 and all other relevant legislation in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance accountabilities associated with this post.
