Morrison Water Services is currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineers for its joint venture Caledonia Water Alliance where we have teamed up with AECOM to deliver Scottish Water’s SR21 Water and Wastewater Infrastructure programme.
The positions is for a Senior Civil Engineers is required to support our growing workload within the Scottish Water.
As a Senior Civil Engineer your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Implement the project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards
- Have the ability to work under minimum supervision and competent to check the work of others and supervise less experienced or junior staff
- Carry out site visits and surveys, inspections assessment, supervise and support sub-contractors
- Prepare and check feasibility studies, inspections assessment and technical reports and other written documents in an appropriate format ensuring compliance with procedures
- Comply with the requirements of the CWA Management Systems including Health & safety, Environmental and all other appropriate regulations
- Prepare/check design approach, calculations, drawings and documents
- Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate identify innovation/best practice for consideration
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Engineering degree qualified
- Chartered or Incorporated (CEng/IEng) or working towards
- Previous utility industry knowledge and experience is desirable but not essential
- Good written and oral communication and organisational skills
- Computer literate and conversant with the MS Office suite
