Role Summary
The Sales Operations Analyst is a trusted advisor to regional sales leadership teams, provide critical sales forecasting insights and support. You would be responsible to provide direct operational support to regional sales teams for operational issues, as well as a resource for the identification and implementation of improvements in the region. Create, maintain, and run reports and analytics on internal and external sales, sales enablement and channel activities. Work closely with the Sales Operations leadership to inform strategy and measure regional performance.
What You Will Do:
1. Participate in regional annual planning, including go-to-market strategy, sales territory planning and implementation, resource planning and target-setting
2. Weekly consolidation and critical review of the sales forecast for the region, including appropriate discussions with sales to assess, challenge and support. Submission of the completed forecast
3. Participate in resource planning, maintain regional sales hierarchy and roles including open headcount
4. Monitor, review and report regional activity against specified Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”), including for example pipeline, product trends, win ratios and forecast accuracy
5. Identify business-relevant issues and trends, both internal and external, and communicate these to the regional Sales leadership team. These can be anything business-relevant, including: KPIs, internal structural or system changes, external political influences, product sales trends, sales team performance, economic factors and more
6. Build GTM Territory and quotas plans for regional sales teams, support commission team
7. Works closely with our global Shared Services Centre on 2nd and 3rd level sales support enquiries
8. Provide training and best practices guidance to the regional sales team on the appropriate use of the Customer Resource Management software tool (“CRM”), currently Salesforce
9. Monitor and report on trends in CRM usage, work with sales to review and improve data quality hygiene
10. Create and maintain reports and dashboards within the CRM for the regional sales team
11. Review and appropriately approve or reject discount approval requests, representing the needs of the region and the company while understanding the implications of the requests
12. Understand the business strategy for the region and ensure that the appropriate operation support mechanisms are in place, well implemented and meet the needs of the business.
13. Identify and communicate possible ways to improve sales productivity in the region
14. Create and maintain sales territory maps and alignment plans for the region
15. Create and maintain accurate visual representations of current and historic regional sales structures
16. Create and maintain records of the sales landscape at given intervals, pipeline snapshots & forecast records
What You Will Bring:
17. Several years experience in Sales Operations or similiar areas (such as Finance, Data Analytics)
18. Strong / advanced Excel skills, experience with Power Bi a bonus
19. Fast learner with strong hand-on mentality and good problem-solving skills
20. Participation in global operations-oriented projects, representing the interests of the region
21. Fluent written & spoken English, knowledge of German a bonus
