This role
We are recruiting for an Electrician to work within our Responsive Repairs Team who will ideally have experience of working within a social housing or local authority environment. Within this role, you will be expected to undertake electrical installation, repairs, and maintenance. As you will be working in the homes of our residents, you will have exceptional customer service skills including excellent communication ability, as well as providing a high quality 'right first time' service.
To be considered for this position, it is essential that you hold the following qualifications.
Qualification at NVQ 3 or equivalent
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
Full Driving License
It is preferable for you to also have 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, a PASMA qualification and the ability to read construction drawings.
You will conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work, minimizing damage to the fabric of the property.

You must be willing to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8am and 6pm each weekday and cover an out of hours rota when required.
To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, once an offer of employment is made. As standard you will be added to the DBS updating service with a new check being carried out on a 3 yearly basis. The cost of a DBS will be paid for by the organisation.
