Academics are currently seeking qualified and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSA's) for various day-to-day and short/long term supply positions. The roles involve working in primary and SEN schools across Caerphilly. Additionally, these roles hold the potential to transition into long-term and/or permanent contracts within some of our partnering schools. Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant include: Providing learning support for learner(s) in a classroom environment or in 1:1 situations. Running specific activities to assist the learner's individual learning and social needs. Working as part of the team to ensure that the well-being and personal development of the learner enhances their learning opportunities and life skills. Providing positive praise and reinforcements to learners. Applicants who apply will: Have had the appropriate training and/or previous experience of working with children with special educational needs. Be aware of the national curriculum and to you will be able to develop content with an enthusiastic approach. As calls for work can be from 7.00am in a morning, so you will be able to get to our partnership schools in Caerphilly by 8.30am, sometimes with only 30-60 minute's notice. Be able to work flexible between Monday to Friday. Usual working hours are between 8.30am-3.30pm. Ideally have a fully Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be happy to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
