This includes handling complex changes to existing products, processes, and equipment technologies, resolving day-to-day technical issues, and supporting New Product Introduction to meet business demands. Additionally, the role ensures technical execution in Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) business processes and ensuring the correct capabilities and implementation of a single approach across the Barnard Castle Site. In this role you will Develop, lead, and coach a high performing team of technologists to successfully execute the product-related, risk, change, and knowledge management responsibilities of the department. Ensure the development of the team, the GSK Production system, and data trending activities are visibly demonstrated. Manage the team in line with all GSK and Barnard Castle specific policies and procedures, consulting effectively with central and Site HR to be compliant and mitigate risk. Establish a fully trained and capable team which is high performing and forward-thinking to achieve results and protect productivity, whilst remaining compliant. Responsible for the Site technical resource for leading and execution of technical aspects of planned changes and for product Technical Transfers (NPI, GSC) through effective risk management processes. Ensure day-to-day technical issues are resolved urgently to minimise impact on project(s)/product performance or reject/waste levels. Why you? Basic Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelors/Masters degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by substantial technical or industry experience. Strong Leadership capability Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with cGMP, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Preferred experience in life science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or other regulated industry. PHD in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or another related field with industry experience. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management business processes, including QbD approach, product dose forms, manufacturing processes, and Technology Transfer.
