Job Title: Fire & Security Service Engineer
Location: M4 Corridor (Reading, Swindon, Bristol & Surrounding Areas)
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 Basic + Overtime + Benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a leading provider of fire and security solutions. Covering the M4 Corridor, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding on a variety of fire and security systems across commercial and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
Respond to reactive call-outs, diagnosing faults and ensuring timely repairs.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to industry standards.
Work in compliance with BS5839 & BS5266 and other relevant industry regulations.
Provide professional and clear communication with clients, ensuring high standards of customer service.
Complete reports and documentation in line with company procedures.
Participate in an on-call rota (if required).
Key Requirements:
✅ Proven experience in servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
✅ Strong knowledge of fire alarm panels (e.g., Advanced, Gent, Morley, C-Tec).
✅ Experience with CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems (e.g., Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy).
✅ FIA qualifications or equivalent (advantageous).
✅ Full UK driving licence.
✅ Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
✅ Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
