As a Project Manager – Mechanical Construction at a leading mechanical contracting company, you'll be taking charge of complex, high-profile projects from start to finish. What You’ll Do:
* Lead and Manage Projects: Oversee HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems on large commercial and industrial projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and budgets are met.
* Project Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to define project scope, goals, and milestones.
* Budget & Schedule Management: Take responsibility for creating and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and resources. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Team Leadership: Manage a team of field supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
* Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve challenges that may arise during the course of the project to maintain progress.
* Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
* Travel: Be ready to travel 2 weeks out for projects, with the option to either return home on long weekends or stay on project campuses for the duration of the work.
What We’re Looking For:
* Education: A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
* Experience: At least 5+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects, with a focus on HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. Experience with data centers is a major plus!
* Skills:
o Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, and safety protocols.
o Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple stakeholders.
o Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
o Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
o Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
