This role involves working within a busy industrial maintenance and project delivery team in the nuclear industry. While primarily based at the Preston facility, the successful candidate may be required to work at other UKNNL sites.
The salary will be determined based on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform routine engineering, inspection, maintenance, and testing on industrial plant and equipment.
* Carry out safe, effective, and controlled isolations of electrical plant.
* Adhere to company and site standards, including behavior and performance expectations.
* Complete job cards following site standards to ensure quality maintenance records.
* Perform breakdown and recovery maintenance on plant and equipment.
* Support project and improvement work.
* Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
* Understand and work according to maintenance instructions and proof tests.
Essential Criteria:
* Recognized apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
* Experience in maintenance of process plant and equipment.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
* Effective communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
* Willingness to learn new skills and develop professionally.
* BS7671 18th Edition qualification.
* Ability to obtain SC security clearance, including background checks and UK residency requirements.
Desirable Criteria:
* Classified or monitored worker status.
* Experience with electrical distribution systems.
* C&G 2391 or EAL 4337/4338 qualifications.
