Job description Working closely with logistic material handlers, you will be responsible for the unloading, receipting, issuing, manual handling and movement (internal and external) of all assets and equipment within DE&S Deca. All in accordance with the Defence Logistics Framework statutory requirements and local regulations. The role includes data entry, both electronic and manual using stores specific accounting packages, e.g. Management of Joint Defence Inventory (MJDI), VITAL tracking system, BEAVER calibration system and Microsoft Office Packages. Youll have a number of responsibilities including the receipt and despatch of MOD Calibration in a busy operational production facility. Role responsibilities include but are not limited to: Use Logistics Information Systems (Log IS) where necessary to select stock for issue or receipt and prepare relevant paperwork. Carry out site specific activity and operations relating to the safe receipt, storage, maintenance, and issue of materiel. Load and / or unload any materiel in a safe and timely way in accordance with extant operating procedures. Validating all paperwork, including labelling, and locating assets for storage. Drive / operate vehicles or mechanical handling equipment in line with relevant health and safety rules including use and care of equipment. The role will be required to adopt a multi-skilled approach in supporting wider depot operations and activities in accordance with local and departmental policy and procedures. Person specification To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria: Experience of working in a Logistics environment or equivalent. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
